Optimal chiller loading in dual-temperature chilled water plants for energy saving

Buildings account for almost 40% of global energy consumption. Due to the high consumption chilled water plants, various studies have optimized chiller loading in plants with multiple chillers conservation. However, few dual-temperature even though better efficiency could be achieved than that typical single-temperature plants. This paper proposes two optimal control strategies strategy B and C. Strategy optimizes cooling load distribution each group by adjusting ratio chiller. Under this strategy, plant entire season was reduced 10.1%. Meanwhile, C among same between groups, simultaneously temperature setpoint air leaving primary coils partial By considering both impact loop handling process, greater saving (16.4%) season.
